Create donation boxes for any organization and charitable cause. The box was designed for the Pennies for Peace organization founded by Greg Mortenson. The money will be used to build schools in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Develop student character and global awareness through fundraising and service learning activities.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Cereal Box (Empty), Crayons, Glue, Pens (Colored), Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Cover an empty cereal box with light and dark blue cardstock or construction paper (see Main Photo).
- Cut a 1/2" x 3" slit in the top of the box to use as a bank opening.
- Write the title on the top front of the box (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut LG Globe #2 using dark blue and green paper. Adhere the Globe to the bottom front of the box (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut DC Border, Children #2 using various colors of paper. Leave one die-cut shape whole and add highlights cut from other matching shapes. Crayons or colored pens may also be used for highlights.
- Adhere the Children to the box (see Main Photo).
