All Occasion Window Cards

Concept:
Create Window Cards for every occasion.
Objective:
Use Window Cards for fun holiday greetings, student recognition or creative class projects.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Pre-K-K

K-4 Standard 1: Understanding and Applying Media, Techniques and Processes
- Students use different media, techniques and processes to communicate ideas, experiences and stories.
K-4 Standard 3: Choosing and Evaluating a Range of Subject Matter, Symbols and Ideas
- Students select and use subject matter, symbols and ideas to communicate meaning.
Students can create a variety of holiday cards using the Window Card and tiny dies. Cards can accompany student-made gifts and are fun to share. Teachers can create special cards for each student with warm wishes for any occasion.
Note: Any 2 Inch Number Set can be used to create this project.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Glue, Patterned Paper, Pen, Ribbon, Scissors, Stickers
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
Die-cut the XL Window #3 Card, SM Apple, SM Sailboat, TY Shamrocks and Block Numbers 2" using various colors of cardstock or construction papers.
Window Card:
- Fold on the perforation line. Cut a 3" square of coordinating patterned paper.
- Adhere the square to the inside of the Card, aligning it behind the window of the Card.
Lucky Card:
- Adhere Shamrocks to patterned paper.
- Computer or hand print the word Lucky, spacing the letters apart. Cut the letters apart and adhere to the front of the Card. Use a blue pen to highlight the letters.
- Cut a 20" length of coordinating ribbon and tie around the front edge of the Card (see Main Photo).
Happy Birthday Card:
- Adhere the decorated Sailboat to patterned paper.
- Computer or hand print Happy Birthday and mat on two coordinating colors of paper. Adhere to the front of the Card (see Main Photo).
Back 2 School Card:
- Adhere the decorated Apple to patterned paper. Computer or hand print or use stickers for the words Back and School. Mat the words on two coordinating colors of paper.
- Adhere the Block 2 to the front of the Card. Adhere the words Back and School to the front of the Card.
- Cut a 20" length of coordinating ribbon and tie around the front edge of the Card (see Main Photo).
Envelope:
- Die-cut XL Envelope A6 #2 using complimentary colored paper. Fold on all perforation lines.
- Adhere the bottom flap to the side flaps.
