Back to School Night Poster

Concept:
Create colorful Back-To-School Night posters.
Objective:
Decorative posters highlight upcoming school events and can be taylored to suit any theme.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Pre-K-K
Curriculum: Fine Arts & Crafts
Supplies Used: Butcher Paper, Cardstock, Glue, Pen, Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Mat an 18" x 24" of blue butcher paper, cardstock or construction paper to a slightly larger black paper.
- Die-cut the words "Back To School Night" from the D'Nealian Alphabet 3" using yellow and black paper (see Main Photo).
- Adhere the words to the top of the poster.
- Cut or tear a green sheet of paper and adhere to the bottom of the poster (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut LG Schoolhouse using red paper and adhere to the green paper (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut LG Tree using brown and dark green paper. Leave the brown Tree whole. Cut the trunk from the green Tree and adhere the green leaves to the brown Tree. Adhere the embellished Tree to the green paper (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut SM Clouds using white paper. Adhere the Clouds to the poster.
- Write the date on the bottom of the poster.
