Hanukkah Menorah Poster

- K-4 - Students select and use subject matter, symbols and ideas to communicate meaning.
Share the spirit of Hanukkah with an embellished Menorah and warm greetings. Describe the significance of each candlelight and create personal Menorahs for students to enjoy at home.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Glue, Letters (Self-Adhesive), Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Use a 9" x 12" blue piece of cardstock or construction paper for the poster.
- Die-cut the word Hanukkah from the Hebrew Alefbet 4" using purple and white paper.
- Adhere the purple letters to the top of the poster, then place the white letters slightly off-center over the purple letters for a shadow effect.
- Die-cut LG Menorah #2 from gold paper.
- Die-cut LG Menorah Candle 9-Up using yellow and various other colors of paper.
- Leave the yellow Candles whole. Cut the flame from the other Candles and adhere to the yellow Candles.
- Adhere the embellished Candles to the Menorah. Adhere the Menorah to the poster.
- Mat a 3" x 6" piece of light purple paper to a slightly larger piece of dark purple paper.
- Add the message to the paper and adhere to the poster.
