Create a Church Book for inspirational thoughts.
Objective:
Use the Church Book to reflect on verses, passages or prayers.

K-4 Standard 3: Choosing and Evaluating a Range of Subject Matter, Symbols and Ideas
- Students select and use subject matter, symbols and ideas to communicate meaning.
Decorate Church books to comprehend, appreciate and reflect on religious stories.
Supplies Used: Brads, Cardstock, Glue, Paper (Lined), Paper (Patterned), Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut two Book, Church Cover using blue cardstock or construction paper.
- Cut two pieces of patterned paper and adhere to the back of the windows on the front Cover.
- Cut a small piece of yellow paper and adhere to the back of the cross on the front Cover.
- Die-cut several Book, Church Pages using lined paper.
- Align the front Cover, the Pages and the back Cover.
- Insert three small brads to hold the Church Book together (see Main Photo).
