Angel Wings

Concept:
Make a pair of angel wings for storytelling, plays and interactive fun.
Objective:
Create unique angel wings for holiday celebrations and special class performances.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5, Pre-K-K

Supplies Used: Construction Paper, Hole Punch, Ribbon, Scissors, Yarn
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Fold a 12" x 18" piece of cardstock, other heavy paper or construction paper in half.
- Place the folded edge of the paper just inside the cutting rule on the Angel Wing and die-cut (Figure A).
- Open the Wings and punch four holes in the middle area of the Wings (Figure B).
- Cut two 3' lengths of ribbon or yarn.
- Thread one ribbon through the top and bottom hole on one side of the Wings, and the other ribbon through the holes on the other side.
- Pull enough ribbon to the front of the Wings so the child can place their arms through the loop.
- Secure the ribbon in back with a bow, allowing the Wings to stay upright (see Main Photo).
