Angel Wings

Concept:

Make a pair of angel wings for storytelling, plays and interactive fun.

Objective:

Create unique angel wings for holiday celebrations and special class performances.

Supplies Used: Construction Paper, Hole Punch, Ribbon, Scissors, Yarn

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Fold a 12" x 18" piece of cardstock, other heavy paper or construction paper in half.
  2. Place the folded edge of the paper just inside the cutting rule on the Angel Wing and die-cut (Figure A).
  3. Open the Wings and punch four holes in the middle area of the Wings (Figure B).
  4. Cut two 3' lengths of ribbon or yarn.
  5. Thread one ribbon through the top and bottom hole on one side of the Wings, and the other ribbon through the holes on the other side.
  6. Pull enough ribbon to the front of the Wings so the child can place their arms through the loop.
  7. Secure the ribbon in back with a bow, allowing the Wings to stay upright (see Main Photo).
