Concept:

What do you expect from an e-cutter? The eclips Electronic Shape-Cutting Machine creates completely customizable shapes and letters to adorn almost anything, including amazing projects like this!

Objective:

Use the eclips Machine and cartridges to create decorative gifts and creative nameplates for the holidays.

Celebrate the holidays with unique nameplates and decor. Recycle unique items and incorporate into student artwork.

Supplies Used: Cardstock, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Decorative Pins, Paintbrush, Ribbon, Thread Spool, Watercolor Paints, Wooden Skewers

The teacher will cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Using the eclips machine and Holiday Cartridge, cut two Turkeys out of colored cardstock. Snip pieces and adhere one set of the pieces to form the front of the Turkey.
  2. Adhere wood skewers to the Turkey, aligning them with the legs. Cover the skewers on the back side of the Turkey with the second set of Turkey cut outs.
  3. Insert the skewers into the spool base and adhere in place. Embellish spool with ribbon.
  4. Use the eclips machine to cut out fall leaves. Embellish with watercolors, crayons or colored pencils. Attach bow and leaves to spool.
  5. Insert decorative pins. Add name plate to Turkey (see Main Photo).
