Game, March Memory Match Up

Concept:
Create a memory match up game featuring Shamrocks with antonyms.
Objective:
Students will reinforce memory skills while matching antonyms or any other concept.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5
Curriculum: English Language Arts
Supplies Used: Adhesive Letters, Cardstock, Double-Sided Tape, Glue, Lamination Film, Large Envelope or Sheet Protector, Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut Shamrock from cardstock, construction or patterned paper (Figure A).
- Print or use Adhesive Letters for words on Shamrocks and game title (Figure B).
- Die-cut Leprechaun from multiple colors of paper.
- Decorate and layer die-cut Leprechaun using glue or double-sided tape. To layer, leave one shape whole and cut highlights from other colors (Figure C).
- Use a large envelope or sheet protector to store the parts of the game.
- Adhere decorated Leprechaun to front of envelope. Adhere the game title to the top of the envelope (Figure D).
- Store the Rules of Play and Shamrocks inside the envelope (see Main Photo).
