Concept:

Add a fun touch to a storage container. With the new Sizzix eclips machine and cartridges, creating one-of-a-kind home décor items just got easier. Follow the simple steps below to create your own.

Objective:

Create fun holiday gifts using new or gently used containers to promote creativity and conservation.

Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, Pre-K-K

Students can decorate tins with a variety of shapes using the eclips machine and cartridges. Creative tins can be filled with student-made gifts or special treats. Loved ones will enjoy this sweet holiday surprise!

Other Supplies: Buttons, Cardstock, Glitter, Ink, Patterned Paper, Ribbon, Stamp, Store-Bought or Clean, Gently-Used Tin

The teacher will cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Cover the tin with patterned paper and ribbon.
  2. Cut a Snowflake out of cardstock using the eclips machine and Starter cartridge.
  3. Embellish with buttons, glitter and a printed or computer generated sentiment (see Main Photo).
