Students learn fire safety rules and develop injury protection and management strategies for personal health.

Display the Fire Safety Rules poster in the classroom throughout the year. It is important to learn and memorize the six safety rules. Learn and practice escape routes at school. Establish an outside meeting place in case of fire or other emergency. Ask students to establish an escape exit and meeting place at home as well.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Colored Pens, Crayons, Glue, Poster Board, Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Mat an 18" x 24" piece of light green cardstock, poster board or construction paper to a slightly larger piece of dark green paper.
- Computer or hand print the title of the poster on a dark green piece of paper. Adhere to the top of the poster (see Main Photo).
- Computer or hand print the six safety rules for fire safety on a blue sheet of paper. Adhere to the bottom of the poster (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut LG Fire Hose, LG Firefighter #2 and LG Fire truck #2 using various colors of cardstock or construction paper.
- Embellish the Fire Hose, Firefighter and Fire truck. Leave one shape whole and cut highlights from other colors or use crayons or colored pens to embellish. Adhere the embellished die-cuts to the poster.
