Concept:

Make a poster showing the country of Israel.

Objective:

Illustrate and discuss the location of  the country of Israel.

  • 5-8 - Students integrate visual, spatial and temporal concepts with content to communicate intended meaning in their artworks.

Use Ellison dies to create diagrams or displays that increase global awareness.

Supplies Used: Cardstock, Construction Paper, Dots (Adhesive), Glue, Map, Scissors

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Cut a 8 1/2" x 9 3/4" piece of cream cardstock for the poster.
  2. Adhere a map of Israel and the surrounding countries to the poster.
  3. Adhere the title to the top of the poster.
  4. Die-cut LG Israel using brown cardstock. Attach a small piece of blue paper behind the Sea of Galilee and adhere to the map using adhesive dots.
  5. Die-cut DC Border, Bethlehem Skyline using gold construction paper. Adhere to the bottom of the poster (see Main Photo).
