Noah's Ark Display

Concept:
Create a display of Noah, his wife and Noah's Ark.
Objective:
Illustrate and discuss the story of Noah and the flood.

Celebrate the story of Noah with creative standing characters. Students may create short stories or a play to accompany the characters. Consider creating a diorama scene with these fun figures. Students may share their artwork with friends and family at Open House or Back-to-School Night.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Chalk, Chipboard, Construction Paper, Glue, Marker (Black), Scissors, Stapler, Tape, Twine
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut two XL Noah's Ark using brown cardstock for the front and the back of the Ark and two XL Noah's Ark using tan cardstock. Staple the Arks together at the top.
- Use dark brown chalk to draw lines across the front of the Ark and to color in the top of the Ark (see Main Photo).
- Open the ramp door on the front of the Ark. Use a black marker to write the words "Noah and the Ark" on the tan paper.
- Die-cut the LG Israelite Woman using tan, gray, brown and black paper. Leave the tan Woman whole. Cut highlights from the other colors and adhere to the tan Woman (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut LG Noah using tan, brown and gray paper. Leave the tan Noah whole. Cut highlights from the other colors and adhere to the tan Noah (see Main Photo).
- Cut an 8" length of twine and tie around the middle of Noah.
- Die-cut two LG Stands using chipboard. Adhere the two Stands to the back of Noah and the Israelite Woman with tape.
- Use various colors of chalk to highlight Noah and the Israelite Woman.
