Design an activity poster for Rosh Hashanah.
Objective:
Inspire students to discuss Rosh Hashanah and physical fitness through an active game.

- K-4 - Students use different media, techniques and processes to communicate ideas, experiences and stories.
- 5-8 - Students intentionally take advantage of the qualities and characteristics of art media, techniques and processes to enhance communication of their experiences and ideas.
Standard 3: Choosing and Evaluating a Range of Subject Matter, Symbols and Ideas
- K-4 - Students select and use subject matter, symbols and ideas to communicate meaning.
- 5-8 - Students integrate visual, spatial and temporal concepts with content to communicate intended meaning in their artworks.

Supplies Used: Cardstock, Chalk, Computer, Construction Paper, Glue, Marker (Black), Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Use a piece of red cardstock for the base of the poster.
- Die-cut LG Shofar #2 using cream paper. Highlight with chalk.
- Die-cut LG Tennis Shoe #2 using cream, tan, orange, red, blue and green paper. Leave the cream Tennis Shoes whole. Die-cut can be scanned on a computer to make smaller or larger Tennis Shoes to use for different sizes on the poster.
- Cut highlights from the other colors and adhere to the cream Shoes (see Main Photo).
- Adhere the completed Shoes to a white piece of paper. Using a computer or marker, print the title and instructions for the Shofar activity.
- Adhere the white paper to the red cardstock base.
