Objective:

Arrange yellow Ribbons to create a thoughtful wreath honoring our nation's heroes.

Use Ellison's versatile Ribbons to create various unique projects that build awareness and encourage community service. Develop civic mindedness and respect for others through expressions of gratitude.

Supplies Used: Cardstock or Construction Paper, Colored Pencils or Crayons, Glue, Pen, Overhead Transparency Sheet, Scissors, Tape (Double-Sided)

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Die-cut an XL Circle from an overhead transparency sheet. Die-cut twenty SM yellow Ribbons and arrange along the edge of the circle. Adhere in place.
  2. Die-cut twenty LG yellow Ribbons and adhere to ends of SM Ribbons to create wreath.
  3. Die-cut another XL Circle from white cardstock and trim down to 7" diameter. Computer generate or write a sentiment on the Circle.
  4. Adhere to center of the wreath, gently overlapping SM Ribbons to hold in place (see Main Photo).
