Concept:
Create a puzzle linking the letters of the alphabet.
Objective:
Student should recognize and organize the letters of the alphabet in correct sequence or to create words.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, Pre-K-K

Supplies Used: Cardstock, Double-Sided Tape, Glue
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Using construction paper, cardstock, or poly foam, die-cut 24 center Puzzle pieces using Puzzle #5 (3 Die Set).
- Using the same materials, die-cut one "beginning" Puzzle piece and one "ending" Puzzle piece (Figure A).
- Using the 2" Block Style Capital Letters, die-cut one each of the 26 letters of the alphabet.
- Peel and stick the Letter "A" on the beginning Puzzle piece. Adhere the Letter "Z" on the ending Puzzle piece. Adhere the remaining Letters on the remaining 24 "middle" Puzzle pieces. Letters can be adhered with glue, double-sided tape, or Hold the Foam glue. Also, adhesive letters can be used (see Main Photo).
