Create bags for special occasions, supplies and treats.

Objective:

Students will create a special occasion bag.

Supplies Used: Construction Paper, Glue, Scissors, Double-Sided Tape, Stickers, Dried Flowers, Markers, Pens, Punches, Tissue Paper, Needle, Thread, Pop-Dots

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

Each Bag is embellished with decorated die-cuts, ribbon, stickers or flowers.

Primitive Hearts Bag:

1. Die-cut Bag #1 using two coordinating colors of construction or patterned paper (Figure A).

2. Trim one Bag portion with handle so that it is slightly smaller than main Bag color.

3. Adhere trimmed handle portion to Bag using glue or double-sided tape (Figure B).

4. Fold Bag on perforation of crease lines and adhere with glue or double-sided tape.

5. Die-cut Primitive Hearts from coordinating papers. Decorate and layer die-cuts using glue or double-sided tape. To layer, leave one shape whole and cut highlights from other colors.

6. Hand punch tiny hearts from coordinating papers. Decorate with colored pens and layer (Figure C).

7. Using a needle and black thread, punch through Hearts twice, tying thread off behind Hearts (Figure D).

8. Adhere Pop Dots to back of several Hearts and adhere to Bag (Figure D).

9. Adhere stickers to front of Bag and place gift and tissue in decorated Bag.

RuffleBoard Bag:

1. Die-cut Bag #1 using RuffleBoard. Fold on lines and adhere with glue or double-sided tape.

2. Place a dried flower on the front of the Box and adhere with a red sticker heart.

3. Place gift and tissue in decorated Bag (see Main Photo).

Decorative Bags:

1. Die-cut Bag #1 using cardstock, construction or patterned paper.

2. fold along the perforated lines and adhere with glue or double-sided tape.

3. Die-cut any design desired from contrasting paper.

4. Decorate and layer die-cuts, using glue or double-sided tape. To layer, leave one shape whole and cut highlights from other colors.

5. Embellish die-cuts with punches, markers or pens.

6. Adhere decorated die-cuts to Bag.

7. Place gift and tissue in decorated Bag (see Main Photo).
