Supplies Used: Cardstock, Double-Sided Tape, Glue, Hand Punch 1/8", Hand Punch 1/16", Ribbon, Scissors, Self-Adhesive Felt

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Die-cut four Small and six Tiny Shamrocks using various shades of green cardstock, construction paper, patterned paper or self-adhesive felt for each Shamrock.
  2. Using the hand punches, punch holes in two of the Small Shamrocks. This will allow the color of the bottom Shamrock to show through (Figure A).
  3. Decorate and layer the Tiny Shamrocks using glue or double-sided tape. To layer, leave one shape whole and cut highlights from the other color (Figure B).
  4. Cut three colors of thin ribbon into desired lengths (8-10").
  5. Sandwich the top of three lengths of ribbon between a decorated pair of Small Shamrocks using any adhesive (Figure C).
  6. Attach one decorated Tiny Shamrock pair to each length of ribbon for decoration (see Main Image).
