Hands Down, This Turkey is a Shoo-In!

Concept:
Combine several dies you may already have to create a brand new turkey that is a real shoo-in.
Objective:
Develop creative thinking skills as students combine a unique assortment of dies to build a fun turkey for Thanksgiving or any day!

Create unique projects for any holiday using everyday dies and a little bit of imagination. An assortment of dies were selected to design this fun Thanksgiving turkey. There's no limit to what can be created with a single die or any combination of Ellison dies!
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Glue, Marker (Black), Scissors
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut a LG Footprint #2 for each student using dark brown cardstock or construction paper. This will be the turkey body.
- Die-cut four LG Open Hands for each student using lighter brown paper. These will be the turkey feathers.
- Adhere the Hands to the back of the Footprint.
- Die-cut XL Weaving Strips, cutting only the wavy strips, using gold paper. These will be the turkey legs.
- Cut one strip in half for the turkey legs and adhere to the back of the turkey (see Main Photo).
- Die-cut two Block 1 1/4" Lowercase Letters W's using gold paper. These will be the turkey feet.
- Adhere the W's to the front of the wavy Strip (see Main Photo).
- Hand cut a gold triangle for a beak and a red wattle. Adhere near the top of the Footprint body.
- Use a black marker to draw the eyes for the turkey (see Main Photo).
