Supplies Used: Cardstock, Double-Sided Tape, Glue, 16" x 16" Poster Board, Scissors

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

1. Cut a 16" x 16" sheet of poster board, cardstock or construction paper for the back of the chart.
   
2. Cut four white 7 1/2" squares and adhere to the chart using glue, double-sided tape or other adhesive.
   
3. Die-cut four orange and four yellow SM Basic Beginnings Ducks. Layer Ducks by leaving the orange Duck whole and cutting the beak and feet off the yellow Duck. Adhere the yellow Duck on the orange one to create little yellow Ducks with orange beaks and feet (Main Photo).
   
4. Cut a small piece of blue paper and attach behind the eye opening of the Ducks.
   
5. Die-cut six SM and LG Basic Beginnings Clouds from black and gray paper.
   
6. Die-cut six SM Basic Beginnings Raindrops from two colors of blue. Leave one Raindrop whole, cut highlights from the other color and layer.
   
7. Adhere four Clouds, three Raindrops and a Duck on the upper left square (Figure A).
   
8. Die-cut the SM Umbrella using black and three other colors. Leave the black Umbrella whole. Cut the top and the handle off the other Umbrella colors.
   
9. Leave one color whole and adhere to the black Umbrella. Cut the other two colors along the ribs of the Umbrella and attach to sections of the solid color Umbrella (Figure B).
   
10. Attach the three remaining layered Raindrops, the Umbrella, and a second Duck to the upper right square (Figure B).
    
11. Die-cut the LG Basic Beginnings Rainbow using five different colors of paper. Leave the red Rainbow whole. Cut one piece of the Rainbow along the perforations of the other colors and layer (Figure C).
    
12. Adhere the layered Rainbow, the two remaining Clouds, and the third Duck to the bottom left square.
    
13. Die-cut LG Basic Beginnings Sun using orange and yellow paper. Leave the yellow Sun whole and cut along the perforations of the orange Sun leaving the center. Layer and adhere to the last square (Figure D).
    
14. Die-cut the Flowers using green and multiple colors for each flower.
    
15. Layer the flowers and adhere the completed flowers and the last Duck to the bottom right square (see Main Photo).
