Decorate book bags for the 2012 Collaborative Summer Library Reading Program. Create bag for any library theme from early to adult literacy. This engaging activity is a great segue to thematic, literary discussions.
Supplies Used: Book Bag, Fabric Paint, Permanent Markers or Pens, Iron-on Fabric
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut the Book, Heart and Peace Sign using iron-on fabric. Iron the shapes onto the book bag.
- Die-cut the Block Alphabet using iron-on fabric to create the words "Own the Night." Iron the letters onto the book bag.
- Embellish the bag with permanent marking pen and fabric paint (see Main Photo).
