Supplies Used: Construction Paper, Colored Pencils, Colored Pens, Glue, Scissors

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

1.Die-cut LG Bookmark, Eagle Mascot or LG Bookmark, Bulldog Mascot from red and blue cardstock.

2.Die-cut the Bookmarks from various colors of paper to embellish the Mascots. Cover only the Mascot shape with paper when cutting the embellishment pieces (Figure A).

Eagle Bookmark
3.Leave the cardstock Bookmark, Eagle Mascot whole. Cut along the perforated neck feathers of a white Eagle head and adhere this to the Eagle Bookmark (Figure B).

4.Cut along the perforated beak lines of a yellow Eagle head and adhere to the Bookmark. Highlights may be added with colored pencils or pens (see Main Photo).

Bulldog Bookmark
5.Leave the cardstock Bookmark, Bulldog Mascot whole. Cut along the perforated neck line of a tan Bulldog head. Adhere a small piece of black behind the tan Bulldog head covering the holes in the face (Figure C). Adhere this Bulldog head to the Bookmark. Add highlights with colored pens or pencils (see Main Photo).
