School Picture Frames

Highlight Picture Day or everyday photos with photo frames that fit favorite photographs.
Objective:
Create fun frames and cards that fit 2" x 3" to 3" x 5" student pictures for any holiday or occasion!

Create versatile photo frames to fit 2" x 3" or 3" x 5" photographs. Place the student's frame on their desk as a special surprise for parents at Back-to-School Night. These personal treasures can be created as gifts for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, Christmas or any occasion. Insert student pictures from Picture Day and send home as an extra special surprise with the Picture Day packet!
Supplies Used: Cardstock or Construction Paper, Colored Pencils, Crayons, Markers, Paint, Photographs (2" x 3" or 3" x 5")
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut the Frame, School Picture from various colors of cardstock or construction paper.
- Use the slits to insert either 2" x 3" wallets, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" jumbo wallets or 3" x 5" photographs. Cover exposed slits with artistic designs or stickers (Figure A).
- Fold along perforations so that the picture is either on the inside or outside of the frame (Figure B).
- Decorate any die-cut art media. Adhere to the Frame.
- Use these Frames to share school pictures with friends and family, as holiday gifts or to decorate bulletin boards (see Main Photo).
