Slide together an easy-to-assemble Rocket for student use.
Can use either AllStar or SureCut Dies.
Objective:
Build unique Rockets for fun learning about the solar system and space travel.
Recommended Grade Levels: 1-2, 3-5, 6-8, Pre-K-K

Science: Earth and Space Science
- As a result of activities in grades K-4, all students should develop an understanding of objects in the sky.
- As a result of activities in grades 5-8, all students should develop an understanding of earth in the solar system.
Science: Physical Science
- As a result of activities in grades K-4, all students should develop an understanding of position and motion of objects.
- As a result of activities in grades 5-8, all students should develop an understanding of motions and forces.
Science: Technology
- As a result of activities in grades K-8, all students should develop an understanding about science and technology.
Build creative rockets for hands-on learning about space exploration. This is a fun lesson for the Solar System unit. Discuss preparation required for space travel and physical effects on the body.
Note: This lesson can be created using either Ellison AllStar or SureCut Dies.
Supplies Used: Cardstock, Glue, Scissors, Tape
The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.
- Die-cut the 3-D Rocket using cardstock or other heavy paper.
- Decorate the Rocket pieces while flat.
- Slide the decorated Rockets together using the slits (see Main Photo).
