Have fun making a clever Cup Wrapper and decorating beverage containers.



Grade Level:

Students can discuss the contents of various beverage containers and also make an attractive Mother’s or Father’s Day gift.

Discuss the proper handling of hot or cold beverages in paper or plastic cups. Also make a cheery Wrapper to give as a gift.

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Die-cut the Travel Cup, Mug & Glass using construction paper. The students can decorate the shapes with crayons or markers.
  2. Discuss areas in which each container is best suited. What beverages might be placed in each container?
  3. Die-cut the Cup Wrapper from cardstock, construction paper or craft foam. Craft foam can be found in craft stores.
  4. Decorate the Wrapper with crayons, markers or adhere the Flower, Heart or Trophy shapes to the Wrapper with double stick tape.
  5. Apply adhesive on one end, wrap it around the cup or glass and adhere to the other end of the Wrapper.
  6. The Wrapper provides a comfortable way to shield hands from both hot and cold beverages in paper or plastic cups.
  7. Enjoy your wrapper that helps a latte!
