Create festive holiday cards with decorative words.

Students can create a variety of holiday cards using the Scallop Card and holiday dies. Cards can accompany student-made gifts and are fun to display on tables or the mantlepiece during the holiday season. Teachers can create special cards for each student with warm wishes for the winter break.

Supplies Used: Cardstock or Construction Paper, Double-Sided Tape or Glue, Ribbon

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Cut a 7" x 10" piece of paper and fold in half to create the card.
  2. Cut construction paper to create a decorative background and adhere to the cover of the card.
  3. Tie a ribbon to the cover and trim edges.
  4. Die-cut the Fir Tree using colored construction paper. Adhere to the cover.
  5. Die-cut the Word, Noel using colored construction paper. The snowflake drops out of the "o", and can be used as an embellishment. Adhere Noel and snowflake to the cover.
  6. Die-cut additional snowflakes from the Word, Noel. Adhere to the cover (see Main Photo).
