Use creative folding techniques to create a delightful apple pocket to fill with delicious candy. This project is perfect to make in class with your student for a rainy day activity or to make ahead to hand out.
Supplies used: Glue, Scissors, Small plastic bag, Assorted candy.
How to Make:
- Trim apple color choice cardstock to 5” x 11-3/4”. Fold in half to (5” x 5-7/8”). At the fold, fold up again to about 3/8’ to 1/2”. Placing the folded cardstock against the bottom of the die, with the bottom of the blades exposed a bit to save the fold. Die-cut stem and leaf out of brown and green cardstock.
- Trim away the brown stem and green leaf from the apple. Unfold apple die-cut. Fold back up at outer score lines creating a flat bottom base.
- Adhere the stem and leaf to one side of the red apple “pouch” die cut with glue. Adhere the top area of folded apple with glue to close.
- Fill up a small plastic bag with sweets and tuck it inside of the folded apple, manipulating candy inside to help it stand up.
