Animal Pencil Toppers
#48936
A fun activity to make with your students in class! Perfect for rainy days, these pencil toppers are adorable and would be a great exercise to develop your students' fine motor skills.

Supplies used: Glue, Foam Tape.
Dog:
- Die-cut a cream circle and a dark brown circle using the 1 5/8” Framelits circle die.
- Die-cut a cream circle and a light brown circle using the 1 ¼” Framelits circle die.
- Take the 1 ¼” die and place it halfway over the edge of the light brown die-cut and run through the machine. Glue the resulting shape onto the larger cream circle.
- Place the 1 5/8” die about 1 ½” over the edge of the dark brown die-cut shape and run through the machine. Repeat this three times.
- The resulting shapes will look like long leaves. Take two of the shapes and fold to form the dog’s ears before gluing in place.
- Take the third dark brown ‘leaf’ shape and crop using the 1 ½” circle die to create the dog’s nose. Attach the nose to the smaller cream circle and mount in place using the foam tape to add dimension.
- Cut a pink shape using the thinnest Framelits oval. Crop the shape using the 1 ¼” circle die to create the dog’s tongue and mount in place.
- Attach a couple of black beads or similar to create the eyes.
- Wrap a 1” strip of card around the end of the pencil and attach the topper to the card.
Bunny:
- 1. Die-cut two light pink hearts using the second smallest Framelits heart die.
- Die-cut two deep pink and one white heart using the smallest hearts Framelits die.
- Invert one of the light pink die-cut hearts and mount one of the deep pink hearts in place to represent the bunny’s nose. Attach the small white heart beneath the nose representing the bunny’s teeth.
- Take the light pink and deep pink hearts and cut them in half down the centre. Matt the shapes together to represent the bunny’s ears and attach to the back of the head.
- Attach a couple of black beads or similar to create the eyes.
- Wrap a 1” strip of card around the end of the pencil and attach the topper to the card.
