Create monogram place cards for any event or occasion.

Use the Top Fold to create place cards and hanging letters for signs like "Happy Birthday," "Teacher Appreciation Week," or "Congratulations."

Use folding techniques to create standing letters for anything from place cards to various learning activities.

Supplies Used: Construction Paper, Double-Sided Tape, Glue

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Fold a piece of paper in half that is twice as long as the design to be cut (Figure A).
  2. Place the folded edge of the paper just INSIDE the cutting edge on the top of the die (Figure B).
  3. Place the die and paper, rubber side down, into the Ellison Machine and cut.
  4. Die-cut the Flower from various colors of construction paper and adhere to the standing letter.
  5. Use stickers or write the student's name onto the place card (see Main Photo).
