Learn to lace with a Lacing Shoe.
Can use either AllStar or SureCut Dies.

Lacing dies can serve many purposes in addition to the reinforcing of fine motor skills. Use lacing dies to support any curriculum area.

Use a Lacing Shoe for group and independent practice on how to tie a shoelace.

Note: This lesson can be created using either Ellison AllStar or SureCut Dies.

Supplies Used: Cardstock, Colored Pens or Pencils, Glue, Yarn (Thin)

The teacher will die-cut the materials for student use prior to the lesson.

  1. Die-cut the Lacing Shoe using blue and gray cardstock or construction paper.
  2. Leave one color whole and adhere highlights from other colors. Use chalk, crayons or colored pencils to decorate.
  3. Cut white yarn for each student to be used for lacing the Shoe (see Main Photo).
