Last Minute Spooky Halloween Activities

Gather your ghosts and goblins for these spooky Halloween activities! The best way to retain focus in your classroom is to bring Halloween to the classroom, you and your students will have a terror-ific time. Plus, your students won’t even realize they’re learning!

Monster Slime

Monster slime is perfect for Halloween and your students will be sure to love it! It is really simple to make with just a few ingredients from your local grocery store. This activity allows for Chemistry to be explored, including concepts such as elasticity and states of matter.

Create the slime using 1 cup of glue, 1 cup of water, food coloring, glitter, 1 spoon of baking soda and 1 spoon of contact solution.

Halloween writing

Have your students use their imagination and write spooky stories. Turn off the classroom lights and use torches to share the stories, this will be frightfully fun for your class! And, the perfect opportunity to improve their creative writing skills.

Candy counting

Fill a jar with Halloween candy and ask your students to estimate how many pieces of candy they think are in the jar. The student who is closest wins the candy filled jar! This is a great activity to practise counting.
